TPCi has pushed back the US release of the 30th Anniversary Binder Collection from October 2nd to December 4th. There was no announcement, no press release, nothing. The new date simply appeared on Pokémon.com and on retailer listings like Best Buy, and that quiet update is the whole confirmation.
A Silent Two Month Slide
That is a slide of just over two months, landing the Binder Collection on the very last day of the anniversary rollout instead of in the middle of it. If you had the binder penciled in as your October pickup, your calendar just changed. The good news is that this is the only product moving, and December 4th was already a scheduled release day for the lineup, so the binder is joining an existing wave rather than creating a new one.
No Reason Given, But Delays Happen
TPCi has not provided a specific reason for the delay. Product delays like this are not new, and they usually trace back to unglamorous logistics: trouble sourcing or manufacturing one of a product's components, assembling enough finished units in time, or getting product shipped to certain markets on schedule. Any of those could be in play here. Until TPCi says something, that is all anyone can responsibly say.
The Leak Situation Hanging Over It
Here is the wrinkle that has people talking. For the past month or two, the Binder Collection has been opened on camera by various streamers, months ahead of its street date. Until recently it was the only 30th Anniversary product seeing widespread early openings, and as a result a large chunk of the set has already leaked across social media. Whether those early openings had anything to do with the delay is unclear. Nobody official has connected the two, so treat any theory you see online as exactly that.
The Rest of the Lineup Is Untouched
Every other product keeps its original date. The 30th Celebration rollout still runs in waves on September 16th, October 2nd, October 30th, November 6th, and December 4th, with the expansion itself launching on September 16, 2026. And the packs themselves are worth the wait no matter which product they arrive in: each booster includes five foil cards, one of which is guaranteed to be one of 30 unique illustrations of Pikachu, plus a foil Basic Energy card.
What To Do With This News
Practically speaking, not much changes. If the binder was your way into the set, you are waiting until early December. If you just want to rip packs, the launch wave arrives on September 16th as planned, and there are multiple product types landing between now and the binder's new date. One product slipping while everything else holds steady is about as gentle as a delay gets.
The anniversary celebration kicks off in less than two weeks either way, so keep those September plans right where they are.
