Hey, I'm Jordan. Owner of Trude's Treasures.

Pokémon has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It started in the late 90s with a Game Boy and a few packs from Walmart, and it stayed with me through every phase of growing up. The cards, the games, the movies — it was the kind of thing that fit naturally into childhood and never really asked me to grow out of it.

It faded into the background for a while, the way most things do when school and work fill the space. It came back in late 2024, after I finished my Master's at SIU and finally had time to dig through the cards I'd held onto since I was a kid. The inner child came out to play. He hasn't really left.

Trude's Treasures started on Whatnot in early 2025 with a nine-hour New Year's Eve stream that I ran through a hellacious fever. From there it became a community. A weekly donation stream that raised over $1,000 for the Red Cross. A Discord. A group of people who showed up for each other in ways I didn't expect and won't forget.

A year in, the business had failed in the ways businesses fail. I was working 80-hour weeks, losing money, and burning out. But the community stayed. I'm still here, energized, running it back in 2026 with a website, a YouTube channel, and a renewed sense of what this is supposed to be.

This isn't a flip shop. It's not a hype factory. It's a place built by someone who actually loves the hobby, for people who feel the same way.

Outside of cards, I'm a horror movie fan, a former Marvel podcast host, and a die-hard Chicago sports fan.
