Big news for anyone who has been eyeing that ninja frog since spring: a Mega Greninja ex League Battle Deck has been revealed, and it releases on November 13th. League Battle Decks are the closest thing to a tournament-ready deck you can pull off a shelf, so this is the easiest way to pick up Mega Greninja ex as a complete deck.
What's In the Box
The product comes with 1 ready-to-play 60-card deck, 6 damage-counter dice, 1 coin-flip die, 2 condition markers, a deck box, a strategy sheet, and 1 code card to play the deck online. That is the standard League Battle Deck loadout: everything you need to sit down at league night and start placing damage counters immediately.
Why Mega Greninja ex Earned This
The headliner needs no favors. Mega Greninja ex debuted in Chaos Rising in May as the set's marquee card, a Water-type Stage 2 that Mega Evolves from Frogadier and hits the table with a massive 350 HP. Its Ability, Mortal Shuriken, lets you discard a Basic Water Energy from your hand once per turn while it is in the Active Spot to place 6 damage counters on any of your opponent's Pokémon. Its attack, Ninja Spinner, does 120+ and lets you scoop a Water Energy back into your hand to add 80 more damage. As a Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, it gives up 3 Prize cards when Knocked Out, so the payoff comes with real risk.

Here is a fun print detail: the Ninja Spinner attack shares its Japanese name with the Japanese expansion Mega Greninja ex debuted in, also called Ninja Spinner. The attack is literally named after its home set, and the name carried over into the English release.
